Meet the Team

Three chiropractors, a massage therapist, and an acupuncturist that will help you and your family make the most of your health.

Mark H Hoffmann, D.C.

Dr. Hoffmann has been practicing for over 25 years as the owner of Suttons Bay Chiropractic Center.  He is a Traverse City native, graduating from Northwestern Michigan College, and went on to receive his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, Georgia.  Dr. Hoffmann enjoys spending much of his free time in nature, hiking, backpacking, and as much time on the water as possible.  He and his wife Michelle have two sons, Aaron and Shane.


Nathan Reed, D.C.

Dr. Reed graduated from Glen Lake Community Schools and attended Hope College in Holland, MI where he played on the Hope College Men's Tennis team. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic and graduated with honors.  Dr. Reed serves on the board of the Grand Traverse Dyslexia Association.  Dr. Reed enjoys golf, fishing, hunting and most importantly spending time with his wife Tabetha and their two daughters Olivia and Norah as well as their family dog, Kevin (Rigsby’s brother).

Dr. Reed is accepting new patients.


Bernadette West, D.C.

Dr. West is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. Prior to attending Palmer, she graduated from Michigan State University. Go Green! Dr. West enjoys hiking, running and many outdoor adventures with her family. She loves to spend all her free time with her husband James, their kids Taben and Fenley, and the family dog Rigsby.

Dr. West is accepting new patients.


Tricia Smith, L.Ac

Acupuncture

Tricia Smith is a licensed acupuncturist in the State of Michigan and is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is a graduate of Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City where she had the unique opportunity to study three styles of acupuncture. Tricia is excited to be back in Michigan, the only place that feels like home! Tricia’s favorite activities in her free time are hiking, reading, and snuggling with her sweet cat Bella.

Tricia has helped clients with the following: musculoskeletal pain and sports injuries; headaches, anxiety, depression, stress and fatigue, digestive issues, constipation, hot flashes, mood swings, menstrual irregularities, cough, asthma, allergies, TMJ, nausea, smoking cessation, insomnia – and more!
